About me
I am passionate about food, farming, and people. For the past 22 years I have worked in both formal and informal roles related to agriculture literacy and education. I spent five years as an Agriculture Educator and Biology teacher in both rural and urban schools and for the past 12 years, I have worked education outreach. My current role is state coordinator of the Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom program, a program of the United State Department of Agriculture. Agriculture in the Classroom supports educators, volunteers and communities to help our students succeed by learning STEM, reading, writing and career readiness through the exciting lens of Agriculture.
I invite you to stop by the Agriculture in the Classroom booth to chat. Bring your questions about resources, food, farming practices or just stop in pick an apple- I would love to learn about you and your students! My professional experiences cut across all forms of education - writing curriculum, developing academic presentations and lessons, creating and executing media campaigns and managing student and school wellness programs across Wisconsin.
I also enjoy spending time with my husband and four children, biking, and cooking, eating, and experiencing Wisconsin Cheese.
