About me
My eclectic employment history includes being an elementary school teacher, freelance writer and editor, television news reporter on consumer affairs, four terms on the Madison City Council, more than a decade as the director of U.S. Senator Herb Kohl's office, and volunteer leadership and service on multiple nonprofit organizations' boards of directors. My interest in government and commitment to public service sparked the creation of the Wisconsin Civics Games and the Editorial Writing and Editorial Cartoon Contest.
